I can appreciate a clean, full zippered, race-cut jersey. This one is made in the USA, and comes in any color you want, as long as it’s black. Who needs any color besides black anyhow? I’m hoping to see more from Search and State in the future. Bibs perhaps? Retailing for $125, the S1-A Riding Jersey is just that. Also available is [...] -

When I write a review I make sure to check myself. It’s important that my feelings on the product are honest and up front. Sometimes I get things sent my way to review. It’s one of the perks of having a bike blog. When writing reviews on products that I pay less than retail on- it’s [...] -
GO means GO! post a new link: MOHAI (five) Minute: Vintage Bikes 2 weeks ago · View
Sarah shared this video from MOHAI on our Facebook page yesterday (you have liked the new page , right?): Maybe it’s waking up to public television for years in my childhood, but something feels right about watching this first thing in the morning, with its enthusiastic and a bit unpolished dialog that can only mean you’re learning something. Not only does [...] -

The Ride of Silence is just that- it’s not Critical Mass or a chatty group ride. Please be respectful of the organizers, [...] -

This Saturday you should plan on being at Hales Ales in the evening for the Marymoor Velodrome Association benefit. Traveling from Seattle to Portland and wanting to do it on the cheap? BoltBus looks like the hot ticket. I’m not really sure how it works, but the fare fluctuates. You can travel between the two cities for $1-15 each way though and that’s pretty sweet. You can even bring a bike as baggage (if room allows [...] -

This is coming out Fall 2012 from Xtracycle and I gotta say it looks intriguing. With a capacity of 200lbs- it also folds up and out of the way (to get into doorways and the like.) It will retail for $149- though if you want a platform for it- that’ll cost you extra. If you are carrying something like [...] -

I’m hoping for the best for Graeme Obree as he goes for the world speed record in September. And I really hope that it happens at the same time as Interbike- because then I could do both!

There has been more than one time that I wish I had something a little more intimidating than a bell while riding around Greenlake. This might do the trick.
Also love the chain guard that reads “Me so horny”

Lunch time bicycle stories! Turns out that even 100+ years ago awesome female riders were getting unwanted attention from creepy dudes with ironic facial hair . Another Kickstarter project- along the same lines of the Lazer Urbanize.
I like the idea of having integrated lights for safety- though for real illumination of the road ahead- a more powerful bar or helmet mount would likely be necessary. Thanks Mike D!
